12 Types of Pastors As students of the Bible, we can see that there are at least 12 kinds of Pastors that are visible in the Church today. *Though not a comprehensive list, but these twelve represent majority of Pastors leading Churches and ministries today. I hope we can individually find *who we are* among these twelve descriptions. *1. BUSINESSMEN PASTORS* (1 Timothy 6:35; Isaiah 56:10,11; 2:14). *Description:* They are businessmen and women who see the ministry as *avenue to make money.* They function as the Chief Executive Officers of their Churches. The Church is run with business principles. Their major emphasis is *money, finance, prosperity and how to make it.* They are in absolute control of everything. *Basic Motive:* Gain and profit. Topic: Loyalty & Faithfulness! An essential ingredients in today ministry. Text: A true friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need. (Proverbs 17:17 TLB) 1. The first key to commitment is a loyalty and faithfulness that go beyond all personal feelings. The dictionary defines loyalty as being "faithful in allegiance to one's government, faithful esp. to a cause or ideal."1 2.Faithfulness is defined as "allegiance to duty or a person, loyalty, complete trust."2 These definitions describe the heart of an armorbearer—someone willing to give of himself for others, someone who is dependable and loyal to his leaders and can be trusted with difficult assignments. 3. The armorbearer's loyalty and faithfulness, of course, are first to God and then to man.
